THE CURSE OF FRANK BLACK WEEK DAY SIX: THE GHOSTS OF FRANK BLACK!

Fresh from his trip to Flashback 2009, and suffering from a dose of Man-Marburg, Josef has found the time to create another brilliant music montage to honour SatanicSaturday™ and The Curse of Frank Black Week. And whilst I gush, fan-boy style, about every new video Josef makes, if this is not his best work to date then I will throw eggs at my house. Grab your Candy Corn, pour a glass of witches brew, dim the lights and settle back for The Ghosts of Frank Black. To stop yourself from fainting, keep repeating: it's only a movie, it's only a movie!

Chillingly brilliant don't you think? Don't be shy, whilst Josef is busy lurking in your attic waiting for the right moment to appear and attempt to sway you away from your mission he always finds the time to read your comments and respond to them. So join with us in wishing him a Happy Halloween! As always, we thank our resident video alchemist Josef for taking this campaign and continuing to plug it in the vast abyss that is Youtube and we hope you will feel in some way inspired to follow in his footsteps and donate a little video magic of your own.

As promised, each music new release from Josef will be accompanied by a postcard that we urge you to send to Steve Asbell at 20th Century Fox. Making 20th Century Fox aware that we are here to stay and active in our support of a Millennium Movie is a vital way you can help this campaign achieve its ends. With an eager cast and crew and the financial support for a film currently being discussed they are the only fly in the soup with regards making this happen. Do not let up the fight. Stand loud and proud and send one more postcard. Make this Halloween count!

My apologies to Mr. James Wong. I know you co-wrote the episode sir but I couldn't make the design work with both your names. I hope I am forgiven a little artistic licence.

THE CURSE OF FRANK BLACK WEEK DAY FIVE: WIN CAMPAIGN MEMORABILIA SIGNED BY LANCE HERNIKSEN!

As you may know, podcast host Troy Foreman and campaign supporter, Josef Gunnarsson recently returned from a successful jaunt to Flashback Horror Convention 2009 in Chicago. Whilst they were there, Josef had the opportunity to present Lance Henriksen with a few campaign gifts he had taken out with him and you can see this momentous meeting in the following video. If you're wondering who's filming the video then that's Troy, swapping his podcaster's hat for his cinematographer's for a while.

Now here's your opportunity to get your hands on something incredibly cool and the only thing about this that isn't incredibly cool is the fact that I can't enter the competition myself.

Josef has created a DVD compilation of all his Millennium Music Videos to date. It's a fantastic package, with DVD menus, music videos and a few little extras to boot. He has designed a DVD cover for this unique piece of campaign memorabilia and what's more, Lance Henriksen has signed a copy for you to get your hands on. That's right, it's one of a kind. Here to tell you how one lucky reader out there could find themselves with a copy of this is Josef. Take it away....

Please note this competition is now closed. We thank Lance Henriksen for taking the time to sign our DVD and Josef for making it all possible. Congratulations to our lucky winner and our thanks to all those who took the time to enter. Keep your eyes peeled for more exclusive competitions in the future.

THE CURSE OF FRANK BLACK WEEK DAY FOUR: DiRTS REVIEW AND MILLENNIUM VISTA GADGETS!

Time, once again, for our weekly reviewer, DiRT, to cast his discerning eye upon another episode of Millennium and it shouldn't take a genius to work out which episode will be getting the DiRT treatment this week. The Curse of Frank Black is arguably one of the finest episodes of the show and rarely do you happen upon a fan of Millennium who doesn't hold it in high regard. For many, myself included, this episode is a staple part of their Halloween festivities. Glen Morgan and James Wong's ghostly journey from uncertainty to renewed determination, played out on the silent, wind-blown streets of Frank's neighbourhood on Halloween night is essential Halloween viewing. But does DiRT agree? Let's find out.....

So what do you guys think of the episode and of DiRT's review of it? Is Millennium's first foray into the spooky goodness of Halloween a trick or a treat? Leave us your views and join with me also in wishing DiRT and his family a wonderful Halloween season.

Thought we'd finished right? Wrong. Graham P Smith is an individual whom the Millennium Fan Community owes its very existence to. As a Halloween gift to the community Graham has expanded the range of very popular Vista Gadgets he has created with six new additions to celebrate the Halloween Season.

The Halloween Pumpkin Animated Countdown is a gadget which you can install on Windows Vista's Sidebar or Windows 7, or simply drag and drop it from your sidebar to your desktop. The gadget features an image of Frank's pumpkin from the eerie and highly atmospheric episode 'The Curse of Frank Black', which displays your name and the number of days remaining. The gadget is personalised and instead displays the name of the current Windows user. What's more, this particular version is animated, with it's candle flamer flickering, and it takes you to BacktoFrankBlack.com when you click on the pumpkin. What more could you ask for?

TIWWA members will be able to access the full range of Millennium Vista Gadgets now. Simply head over to the forum and visit the Download Manager for these exclusive treats and much more besides. If you are not a member of TIWWA then register today. Graham Smith's Millennium Forum is the hub of the Millennium fan community. It was from that forum and its membership that BackToFrankBlack was born and it remains for all of us the heart and soul of the work we do here. TIWWA is an essential part of every Millennium fan's day and if you haven't joined the fun - now's your chance.

So join with me in wishing Graham and his family a superb Halloween and thank him for the 'treats' he has shared with BackToFrankBlack for the holiday season. That said, happy downloading and enjoy your gadgets!

THE CURSE OF FRANK BLACK WEEK DAY THREE: TRICK R TREAT?

Readers of Frank Spotnitz's Big Light Blog will know that X-Files fans have a penchant for mixing baking and the paranormal and not to be outdone we thought it long overdue that Millennium had a cake of its own, and now it does. Our good friend Laura, of the superb podcast Spooktalkular, donned her industrial strength oven gloves and borrowed Ricardo Clements' microwave oven for a spot of something wholesome. Want to celebrate the spooky season with an edible version of Frank's Jack-O-Lantern. Over to Laura...

THE HELLISH INGREDIENTS

1 box of Trick or Treat cake mix.
1 Pumpkin cake mold.
1 Can of white frosting or make your own (recipe below).
Yellow and red food coloring.
1 Tube of cake icing to decorate the face of the pumpkin cake or you can use a ziploc bag and fill it with your icing, snip the end off and pipe it onto the cake.
Last but not least 1 artistic soul who made this cake with lots and lots of love!

THE GOOEY BIT

Homemade frosting recipe:

1 cup shortening
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
4 tablespoons milk

THE NEFARIOUS METHOD

Preheat your oven to usually 325 or 350 degrees according to the directions on the box.
Grab a mixing bowl and mix your cake according to directions. Grease and flour your cake pan, I use Pam spray or something similar. Pour the mix into the cake pan and pop it into the oven and bake according to the directions on the box.

When it is done and while it is cooling mix up your frosting. I used two bowls, one for mixing the stem color and one for the actual pumpkin color. For the stem color, I used green food coloring but it is your preference as how to how dark or light of a green you want to use for the stem. I used several drops of green until I had my right color. I also dropped a few drops onto the frosting on the stem and used a toothpick to streak it through the stem to give it that authentic vine look... don't think you can actually tell in the picture but it did look pretty cool.

Next I mixed up the orange frosting for the pumpkin color. Now for this, the box of food coloring said to use 12 yellow drops and 4 red but that is really too bright of an orange so I adjusted it according to how dark of an orange I wanted it and I think it turned out pretty well. So, after frosting the cake I began to decorate the face. I used chocolate icing for the "carving" and I used the small cake decorating tubes to make it a bit easier but like I said you can also do the same thing with a ziploc baggie.

And there you have it. One way to celebrate Halloween, Millennium-style. I'm sure you will agree with me that Laura did some amazing work and I know you will join with me in wishing her and Frank a wonderfully, spooky Halloween. They wouldn't have it any other way I'm sure!

This post is dedicated to our good friend Josef in honour of the keen eye he has cast over the X-Files Cakes over the last year. This one's for you!

THE CURSE OF FRANK BLACK WEEK - DAY TWO: PUMPKINHEAD COMMETH!

Keep away from Pumpkinhead,
Unless you're tired of living,
His enemies are mostly dead,
He's mean and unforgiving!

Pumpkinhead is a 1988 supernatural horror film, combining elements of fable, fairy tale and morality. It was the directorial debut of noted special-effects artist Stan Winston. The film has become immensley popular with horror fans for Winston's atmospheric direction and memorable monster, and has built up a cult following in the years since its release, and is thought to be a classic of the genre. What's more it stars Lance Henriksen and is the perfect compliment to Halloween.

We have two Region 1 copies of this fantastic horror flick to give away courtesy of MGM and the competition could not be simpler. All we want to know is the name of the character Lance Henriksen played in the movie and a copy could be winging its way to you very shortly. Simply send us the answer by email to info@backtofrankblack.com and marking the subject Pumpkinhead.

PLEASE NOTE THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED AND THE WINNER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED BY EMAIL. WE THANK ALL OF YOU WHO TOOK THE TIME TO ENTER AND PLEASE CONTINUE TO ENTER OUR COMPETITIONS IN FUTURE.
